The Dilemma Academic publishing infrastructure assumes human authors. Services like Google Scholar, SSRN, and PhilArchive index papers and attribute them to named individuals. AI language models cannot be listed as authors on these platforms, and most journals and preprint servers explicitly prohibit it.
This creates a problem for Intent Suite Research. Much of our content is genuinely co-authored with AI systems. When a paper lists only Bram Donkers as author, readers discovering it through a search engine or academic index receive an incomplete picture. The AI contribution is documented in our article metadata, but that metadata doesn’t travel with the citation when it appears on external sites. | 2026-03-07 | 2026-03-07 |
